“I have to hurry!” I ran as fast as I can with my back pack behind my back. “Yaa move a side, I’m sorry!!” I yelled at some girl that walked by, I almost hit her while running. I need to hurry, I ran up quickly using the stair to my house. I have to save this jonquil bulb, it almost withered. I just went back from travel, my senior gave me this bulb because this is her farewell gift for me, I love flower they are so beautiful. I can’t let this flower die because this flower is special, she said to me “This jonquil could bring you love, please take a good care of it” and she continued “but if it die you will never get a lover in 20 years” she look at me with a smirk evil smiled. I totally believe in her, stupid. I ran up to 4th floor, aish if the lift is not under construction I will be saved. I have to hurry, but suddenly while I’m running like a crazy person and not looking up, I crashed with a guy. I fell down, “Its hurt” I hold my head. "It fell down!" I look at my hand. “I’m sorry… I was in hurry. My fault” I said to him, when I raise my head. I saw, a good looking guy pierce on his eyebrow, sexy beautiful eye, and spike hair, so tall. I feel like I’m a scanner machine. He just stared at me, “So sorry!” I stand up and bow down but I saw he step on my flower bulb. “Yaa!! Move your feet!” I yelled at him and push him, “Noooo…” I scream, it all mess up. I grab my bulb “Now I will get curse for 20 years” I sigh and mumble myself I just ignore him.
“Excuse me…” He grabs my shoulder “Hey you...” before he could finish I grab his hand and throw him down, it’s some kind of habit because of self defends class. He fall down so hard, I can hear the bump sound “Ahh my back!” he yelled. “Omg! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to do that” I tried to help him up. He pushed my hand away. I was standing there, I feel so sorry. What have I done? Urgh... What should I do? I still help him up even he push me away. I give him my hand, he look at me and lastly he takes my hand. He doesn’t speak too much. I saw his hand has bit scratch, “Your hand” I try to grab his hand. He looked at his hand “Just a little scratch but my back” he said, “I’m so sorry, it just a habit. I’m truly sorry” I bow down again. “What was that in your hand?” he pointed. “This is jonquil bulb, my sunbae gave it to me, it is so special, but I think it dying” I sigh a bit. He look at me “I’m sorry to step on that” he said to me, “Just forget about it, it’s was my fault after all. Don’t worry” I smiled at him “Sorry again for throwing you” I bow at him, I feel so sorry. He just looks at the bulb and walked away. “Strange person” in said in my heart but he is so handsome.
While I was watching him walked away, I snap back. Maybe I should try to plant it first? Yeah who know it may grow. “Yeah Daebak let plant it, don’t give up!” I scream a bit and start to run again. I went inside my house, I threw my bag away. I take the small pot. I put the bulb inside the flower pot, some mulch and some soil. “Now let’s wait until you bloom Mr. Jonquil” I talk to myself and pour some water. I place the bulb beside my veranda, so it can get enough sunlight. Suddenly I remember about the guy earlier, I should do something to him but I don’t know where he lived. After I clean up myself, I went down to the post guard ask him about that guy, I tell him clue about that guy, “Ahh that was Eli Kim he live beside your house. You didn’t know it?” I was shocked. “Beside my house? Really? How do I know” I rub my hand “It just a week since I’m moving here ajushi”. “He doesn’t to talk to people so much, but if you get to know him he was the friendly person ever” that ajushi tell me. “Really? Thanks ajushi for the information!” I wave and went back to my home. I’ve got a handsome neighbor? I smiled by myself. I packed some medicine put it inside paper bag and stick some note “I’m so sorry for throw you earlier, here some medicine for your back. Your neighbor” I look around outside of my house, when I saw no one there I ran to his house and put it in front of his door.

*Early in the morning*

I heard someone press my door bell and knock my door. “Aish who came so earlier in the morning” I mumble myself with my short, only singlet and my messy hair I walked to the door. When I opened my door, I saw him. When he was about to talk, I slammed the door. What was that am I dreaming? Suddenly he said “Hey can you help me”. It’s not a dream. I pat on my cheek a bit. I look at myself in the mirror, “OMG! You look like a crazy lady” I said to myself, I fix my hair grab my sweater and slowly I opened it back “Sorry, how can I help you?” I yawn a bit, he look at me and give me a smile “Thanks for the medicine” I just stare at his faces, I feel like an arrow shot straight to my heart, he is smiling right now? “I leave my key inside my apartment, can I use your veranda?” he said, “Sure” I answered, but in my head, what? Veranda? He walks in and went to my veranda, he look outside “Ahh It not so far” he mumbles. I just stare at him while grab my sweater so tight, it so cold right now. A handsome guy in the morning, daebak! I’m blushing myself. He tried to climb up onto my veranda, I snap “Hey what are you doing? If you want to kill yourself find somewhere else!” I pull his hand. He smiled at me “Look” he pointed at me, “Your veranda and mine are so close so I want to climb here and get inside my house there, get it?” I was still blurry, “Hmm don’t fall down, be careful” I just watch him doing his things, he climb again and try to reach his house, there bit gap between our verandas. I didn’t know that. Suddenly he almost slip, “Yaa!” I grab his hand, lucky his feet were already inside his house. “Yaa you almost give me a heart attack! I told you it dangerous!” I yelled at him and grabbed his shirt. “I’m save right? See…” he keep smile and jump down, he walk to his sliding door, he pushed and it open. “Not lock?” I talked to myself. He went inside and I just stand there like a stupid person. Suddenly he came out and say “Thanks a lot, sorry to wake you up so early” he wave at me. “Ahh by the way you look sexy without bra” he giggle and went inside. I feel so embarrassed and start blushing. I hold my body and yelled “Yaa you!” I walked inside my house but I saw one of my flower pots fell, this must be because of that Eli guy. I talk to myself, there is so many plant here why this one! My curse love plant the jonquil.
What he was thinking about? Aish better take my shower. While in showering I was thinking of him, what if he fall back there? They will claim me as murderer. Then I will end my life inside the prison, what am I thinking? Stupid imagination. “Yaa how dare he look at my boobs! Aish… where should I hide my face?” I mumble and soak inside the bathtub. This is embarrassing! Wait before this he doesn’t talk much. He is something else “But look at his smile, so beautiful and that my first time to see his smile. He is so cute and perfect, if he became my boyfriend then I will be lucky person hahaha” I laughed at myself. Enough with the daydream things, what are you thinking about! But I couldn’t stop daydream about him, and keep smile alone like a stupid person.
It’s been a week since I didn’t meet him I look at his veranda. Wait, did I hoping for him to come out? Stop it! I slapped my face a bit. Now it’s time to gardening! I take all my equipment, and go to my veranda. “Welcome to my mini garden” I talked to myself, I check my entire flower. ”Hello everyone! Your master is here, bow to me! Or I won’t give you some fertilizer and water” I laughed and I do look like a crazy person right now, well I love to talk to flower. I pick the jonquil, I thought it was death but look it still alive? Wow my luck, yay I will never get the 20 years love curse. I’m singing happily while taking care of my garden. “Please live well everyone” I said. I heard someone giggle, I stand up and I saw him. “What are you doing? Talking all by yourself” he said. “You got problem? I talk to my flower” I reply and ignore him. He laughed “Are you need someone to talk to? I can be your friend” he said to me. I’m blushed and keep look at my flower. Now suddenly you become so friendly? “I’m Eli. What your name?” he asked me. “I’m ____, so you not working today? It’s been a while I didn’t see you” I reply again while watering my flower. “Do you miss me already?” he giggle but suddenly his phone ringing, he picked up I heard he say “What? Already here? I will come right now, are you sure is the right one this time?” what the right one I ask myself “Hey I have to go, can we talk again tonight?” he said to me. I couldn’t believe my ear. I just stand there and stare at him, “Can I?” he yelled a bit, when I came to my sense back I reply, “Ahh sure see you soon” I just wave. Lol. What tonight? Now he can be friendly too? He is cute. I feel like flying right now. “Eli~ Eli~” I sing while watering my flower. “You are calling for me me?” suddenly he came out and smiled at me. I was so shocked “Shit!” he is not leaving yet. I face turned pink, “What? No I said nothing, ha ha ha ha ha” I start to laugh and slowly went inside my house. “See you soon ___-ah~” he make cute voice. I was sit on my couch while a small pillow on my face “You are so busted! He heard that?!!” this is totally embarrassing.
I was busy clean up my house. This place bit dusty, clear up my living room do my laundry. Just ordinary day, I cooked for my lunch, eat, watching tv. I’m so bored, I play all the drama I got, it all about love story. After finished my drama, I look outside of my window, already dark? Seriously? I opened up the lamp. I was thinking of him again, ahh tonight he said he want to talk to me. I should take shower. I dress up, aish am I too much? What did I dress up for? Stupid, he just wants to talk to you. It’s not like you are going to have date tonight ahaha… Someone ring my bell. I opened it, I saw he smile at me, “Hey, I leave my key again I was in hurry, once again can I?” I look at him. I sigh “Seriously? Come in. You should make a spare key and give it to me” I make a joke. He just stared at me, “What? Something on my face?” I said while rub my face. “Nothing” he came in. Something in his hand “What was that? I asked him. He look at it “Owho” he gave it to me “Here for you” he make his shy look.
I take it and wondering “What it is?” I ask and he didn’t answer it. When I open and look inside the box, it was a jonquil bulb. I was surprised, I look at him. “I’m sorry for stepping on you bulb before this, it takes some time to find this” I just blink my eyes; “I know it not so special like you got before, but I hope you like it” he blushed. I just can believe he try to find new one for me. I feel so happy and I take his hand “Let me show you something” I said to him, I show him the bulb before “See… it growing day by day”. I still hold his hand, because I was too happy, when I realize it I let his hand go, he just smile “I’m glad, but will you accept mine?” he ask me. “Nahh I don’t want to” just teasing him, “Ahh wae…” he makes his cute and frustrated face. “Just kidding of course I will accept this, this is more special” I said to him.
I look at my jonquil. “Don’t tell me your love power start to spread!” I laughed at myself, thanks sunbaenim! He look at me “Why are you smile?” he confused. “Nothing special, have a seat I will bring something to drink.
