Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between

She walked inside and almost instantly, she felt the warmth of the classroom. The laughter of little boys and girls rang in her ears. Despite the welcoming environment, she was scared. Never before had she been in a place like this. It was her first day of kindgarten.
She walked inside, not yet ready to open up. The teacher greeted her with a welcoming smile that reminded her of the feeling she had when she was picking sunflowers on her way to school. She smiled back, and knew in her heart that she was going to like it here.
She walked up the the toy kitchen set at the wall opposite of the door she walked into, and noticed a tiny boy already playing there. She had a very shy personality and was contemplating wether or not to go and join the boy. She stared at his back as he walked from the stove to the sink. He had dark brown hair and he was only slightly taller than her. He suddenly turned around, noticing someone standing behind him. She noticed his cold, yet charismatic eyes, and was trying to decide wether she should walk away or greet herself. Before she could make a decision, he spoke first.
" annyoung, I'm Kim myungsoo" He greeted himself and smiled. "I'm Kim Min Ji" she softly replied. " we have the same surname! Isn't that cool?" He giggled. " wanna play?" She nodded and walked up to the stove and grabbed random plastic foods to cook. "you know, I usually don't like talking to people, but you seem different. You were standing alone, and not running wildly like the other kids. I think we can be friends." He nodded. She giggled and nodded back.
As days passed, the little boy and girl only got closer and closer. They were only loud around each other and rarely opened up to others. He was cold and she was quite shy, but was loud open only with each other or close friends. She noticed how playful he was and how his smile looked so joyful. She noticed how focused he looked when he teacher was speaking and just how good looking he was. She was satisfied that she chose him as a friend.
Everyday on her way home, she cooed to her mother about the boy she was now friends with, and what they did today. She endlessly talked about playing tag and running around school and coloring with this boy. She also told her mother about the way kids were sometimes afraid of him, and how she never understood why. Everyday shebrought home new adventures and everyday her mother would listen and make her cookies. And at the end of the story, her mother would chuckle and ruffle her lovely daughters hair, even though she knew her daughter hated when she did that. After these five years, her daughter has made a friend. Kim myungsoo.
