The Fashionista Challenge

It's just the beer

GD's P.O.V

Though this girl is small, she sure can run. I sighed as I tried to run after her silently up to the rooftop.
She sat down at one of the tables, and I caught her give a small smile when she saw that there was nobody else up to the rooftop. Except me, of course, but she didn't know.

She started burying her face in her arms, and cried loudly.

I tried make my way towards her as quietly as possible.

She sniffed, "What's wrong with my clothes?"

I tried not to smile at her dorkiness.

I sat down silently beside her. She didn't notice my presence.

"It's not that I don't want to look good! I just feel that books are more important and realistic than material goods!" She sniffed again. This time, she turned to her right side and hugged her bag of books.

"What did I do to deserve all this? Am I really that ugly and ordinary-looking?" She wailed.

I sighed and couldn't help but blurted out. "No. Look, if you really bother to dress up, I'm sure you'll look good."

She jumped at my voice. I watched as her face turn from red to redder.

"Hey! W-why are you here? Did you follow me all the way up?" She stood up, shocked. Her eyes darted on every part of me.

I got up from the seat immediately as well. "Hey, chillax! I was just worried about you!" I reasoned with big arm gestures. She blushed and sat back down.

"It doesn't matter anymore. You probably don't care either, why should I care?" She sank down in her seat and buried her face in her arms again, and stated ranting again.

I didn't say anything and just let her rant. When she realized I wasn't replying, she looked up to see me walking towards her with two cans of beer in my hands.

I smirked, and placed one can in front of her. She looked up at me in shock and pointed her finger at me. "You brought beer to school?" She gasped. "I got this from my secret stash. You should be honored to be drinking them." I replied, taking a seat beside her and sipped from my can.

Her eyes darted from the beer, then to me, to back to the beer.

"Okay then. It's not like I'm already in a good mood," she finally relented. As she tried to open the can, she faced the opening the other side and some of the contents splurted out on her face. "Awesome." She wiped the beer, orange juice and tears off her face as I looked at her, amused. Finally she managed to open the can properly.

"Bottoms up!" I cheered, already getting a little tipsy.
"Bottoms up!" She shouted, already downing half the can at a go.

I have to say, this girl probably never drank in her whole life. By the time I finished mine, she had her empty can rolling on the floor and her face was in a deep shade of red.

"I can fly! Look at me!" She squeaked, randomly walking about while flapping her arms. I watched her with interest. I have never seen this side of her. I guess this is the side she's always wanting to hide from others?

"Why do people care so much about looks? Tell—me—whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" She staggered towards me, shaking my shoulders violently. I put my hands back on hers and pushed her to sit down. I sighed. "Cause that's just how the world works. They judge you for how you look. If you look good, then they'll treat you like a King; if you don't look good-" "-then they'll treat you like crap! Like how they're treating me now!" Minzy finished, and started crying again.

"Why is the world like this? Can't I just live a life happily ever after with my books?" She said rather crossly, hugging her books. "Bookies I love you~" she sang while swaying to and fro.

I chuckled. This girl sure can't drink.

I took this chance to look at her properly. She had a pair of pretty eyes, small nose, and a cute little mouth. Her skin was fair and flawless. She was... Actually quite pretty. Well, if only she decides to remove that horrible glasses and change her style.

She swayed to and fro, and suddenly stopped, facing me.

"Tell me~ why were you worried about me? Why did you want to run after me?" She asked, before burping and laughing a little.

I furrowed my brows. That question got me stuck. Yeah, why did I follow after her? Why was I even worried about her? I tried to think of an answer but couldn't answer why.

"I don't know," I confessed, looking at her into her eyes. "I... Just wanted to make sure you were okay. I guess that's why."

"Oh." She burped again, looking away. "Why am I even asking this? You won't even say you like me that's why you followed me!" She said softly.

I didn't say anything, and let her pour out all her sorrows.

"When I was in elementary school, I had a best friend. We were neighbours, and we played all day. He was the only friend I had who really cared for me. Whenever I was bullied by my classmates, he would protect me." She mumbled.

I nodded, listening to her talk.

"But then... One day, he left me. I don't know where he went. I wonder where is he now... I really miss him." She cried, tears welling up in her eyes.

"He was my only friend, but then he left without telling me." She turned to face me. "Why did he do that? Does he know I miss him so much?" She started crying.

I was speechless. How would I know why her friend left her?!

"Uhm, maybe he left because he was forced to? Don't worry, I'm sure he misses you too," I said quickly, trying to make her stop crying. This girl is like a tap! Once she started, the tears came out like a water fall.

"Really?" She looked up at me, her eyes widening in surprise. "He really misses me?" She exclaimed.

I nodded with a smile. "Yes he does. So now you have to live properly so you can see him again when he comes back!" I quickly fibbed.

She immediately smiled and sat up straight. "I will be a very good person so I can see him again." She laughed, her cheeks turning pinkish red.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw her like this. Why is this happening to me? I shook my head hard. Though I had to admit, she looks really cute when she's drunk. I have never seen her like this. She seems so innocent and pure, just like a child. Unlike many girls I've seen. They're all materialistic, attention-seeking. Not one will ever brighten up like how she just did.

She laughed a while more, before collapsing towards me.

Our faces were just inches apart. I stared at her lips.

My heart started beating really fast. Like really fast.

I have never gotten so close to a girl ever. Well, other than my mother.

I dismissed my reaction as side effects of the beer.

"Yah, wake up," I pushed her shoulders gently.

She didn't budge. Then she started snoring.

I frowned. So much for being cute.

I glanced at my watch and noticed lunch had already ended an hour ago.

"Oh well, looks like I have to carry you," I said to her softly.

I slung her bag over my shoulder, and with a hoist I carried her bridal style.

Woah, she's light.

I smirked as I carried her to the sick bay.

Let's hope you won't ever remember what just happened.

Minzy's P.O.V

I groaned. My head hurts so badly.

My back was lying on something cold and hard.

I rubbed my eyes and took a look at my surroundings.

A woman in a nurse's uniform came to me. "Oh, you've woken up! Be careful, your head may still hurt."

"Where am I?" I asked. Gosh, I sounded stupid.

"You're in the school sick bay right now." She replied, pouring a glass of water for me.

"Why am I even here?" I questioned. My head really hurts.

"Well. A guy carried you here. Now, young lady," she eyed me suspiciously, "would you mind telling me why were you drunk?" She continued rather crossly.

I frowned. What guy? Drunk?

"Oh well. I don't really expect you to remember. You were rather drunk, afterall." She shook her head as she handed me the glass. "Tsk, young people nowadays, getting drunk out of no reason and not even remembering how."

I blushed as I took the glass and sipped it. I looked to my side, my books and bag were there.

I tried to recall what had happened.

Then it came to me.

I was being insulted by Chaerin...

My food was spilled onto me...

I cried...

I ran up to the rooftop...

He followed after me...

I gasped as an image of the boy flashed in my mind.

... Kwon Jiyong.

"Oh, anyway, you're better now, I suppose. When you're ready to leave, let me know. For now, take a rest. Your head will still hurt." She got the glass back from me and prepared to leave.

"I almost forgot." She stopped and turned back to look at me.

I looked at her cluelessly.

"Before the guy left, he left this note." She got out a crumpled piece of post-it note and passed it to me.

I quickly read it.

Minzy-sshi,

I hope you don't remember that you were drunk and were begging for me to love you. Keke.

My face grew hot.

Anyway, you were so cute drunk! Hope you're feeling better now. And nope, you don't need to thank me.

From: Fashionable Dragon

P.s. you told me so many juicy secrets like the colour of the bra you wre wearing. Keke. Red~ ;)

My mouth hung open in shock.

Quickly, I took a tiny peek inside my shirt.

Red.

Yah Kwon Jiyong. You pervert! I squealed in my mind, squeezing the life of the blanket away.

The nurse glanced at me and spazzed for a while. "That guy was rather cute, to be honest. He told me to take care of you properly or I'll lose my job." She winked. "Nice boyfriend you've got there."

"He's not my boyfriend!" I retorted back in disgust.

She laughed, shaking her head. "Tsk, young people nowadays..."

I groaned as I sank back into the hard bed.

I hope I didn't do anything embarrassing.
