Time, Key, and the Stupid me. (SHINee's Key Love Story)

Chapter 1

Krista's POV

“Thank you.” I spoke handing the taxi driver a ten dollar bill. The taxi then drove off as I sighed heavily and walked up to the small apartments. I took out a piece of paper as I let go of my suitcase. I read the number “15” on the paper and looked back up as my eyes searched for the number. I stuffed the number back into my pocket and found the number I was looking for. The very first door of on the top floor. My suitcase rolled on the rocky ground and made people look my way as I passed.
“Why do I pack so much stuff?” I huffed at myself as I carried the packed suitcase up the staircase. Once I finally got to the top I was out of breath. Lord I need to exercise more.

“Twelve…thirteen…fourteen…ah!” I smiled as I approached the fifteenth apartment door. I knocked twice and waited patiently. Quickly the door opened to a very recognizable face. His face lit up and he smiled wide as he pulled me into a hug. “Krista!” My brother yelled as he hugged me tight. I laughed out loud and hugged back. “Jacob!” I said just as happy.
Jacob pulled away, his tall figure over mine. “Welcome home!” He smiled and opened the door wider to let me in.

I nodded and walked in, the smell of…”Pumpkin pie?” I spoke out loud.
Jacob smiled and nodded, “Yeah, my girlfriend thought you’d feel welcomed with a nice smell of my apartment…apparently it stinks..” he mumbled. “Awwh you’re girlfriends nice!” I smiled spotting the candle on the coffee table. “Your room is down the hall and to the right.” He said. “Thanks for letting me stay here Jacob. I really don’t want to hang out at our parents!” I shook my head and walked to my room.

I should probably say a bit about me. My name is Krista and I am twenty years old. I just got out of college from America; studying at UCLA in Los Angeles, California and am now back in Seoul, Korea, my hometown.

My brother Jacob bought a new apartment a month back and told me I could live with him till I can get my own apartment. I really missed the kid. He was only a year younger than me though, but he was very smart. I haven’t seen him in four years. I really missed him because we were extremely close.

Once I arrived in my room I started to unpack my stuff. Jacob walked in the room and leaned on the door frame. “Some of my friends are coming over tonight, are you going to hang with us or do you have things to do?” He asked.

“Actually I was going to go meet Mi Cha at the park. I’m having a get together with everyone around two o’clock. Thanks though!” I smiled.
Jacob nodded, “No problem, I’m going to go get some Chinese food. Want anything?”

My stomach growled on cue as I looked at the clock. It was already twelve in the afternoon. “Yes please!”

“Anything special?” He asked.

“Nah, anything’s fine.”

Jacob said an “Okay” and was out the door. The apartment was now quite, jet lag wasn’t really getting to me much. Maybe because I was excited to see all of my friends who I haven’t gotten to hang out with in four years. All we would ever do is Skype every weekend.
~

Laughing and loud voices came from outside the bathroom. I suppose Jacob’s friends are here. I finished drying my hair and putting my clothes on, I then applied natural looking makeup and walked out of the bathroom. “Hey Jacob, I’m leaving now. Be back before nine.” I said and waved to Jacob who was drinking with his friends. “Be safe sis.” He smiled. “Got it!” I said and closed the front door.

For some reason I felt like walking. Just the scenery felt really home like. And it was of course, just not this area. A distant song caught my ears and caught my attention causing me to shiver.
SHINee, the band my ex-boyfriend who completely crushed my heart was in. He became famous shortly after he told me something… well you’ll find out about that later.

I shook my head and continued walking, my grey vans squeaking because they were worn out. I soon knew I was near the park when I heard loud laughing and squealing about a few feet ahead. I turned the corner and the city park was filled with people. And smack in the center were my friends.

They seemed to be looking around and when they looked in my direction a loud scream of “KRISTA!!!” was heard; all attention on my group of friends as they came running to me. I was tackled to the ground and was squeezed tight. “We missed you so much!!” Yessica spoke enthusiastically. She was always the happiest of the group. “We missed our best friend.”

Minwoo smiled softly giving me a gentle playful punch on the arm. “Minwoo missed you the most!” Kai gave a wink at me and Minwoo smacked hi upside the head. “Aish! Be quiet idiot!” Kai gave Minwoo a look and rubbed the back of his head. I stifled a laugh.
“Aigo! You got so much prettier!” Mi Cha cooed. I rolled my eyes, “Thanks, but can we please not make a huge scene? Everyone’s staring…” I mumbled. The five of us looked around and became quiet. “Lets go play soccer at the fields!” Kai spoke up. I nodded, “I haven’t played in a while!” I smiled happily.
~
“Okay since it’s un even we will have to have a two versus two, and someone sits out and we rotate!” Minwoo spoke seriously. Ahhh, Minwoo and his soccer. “And I think Kai could be the perfect cheer leader.” He smirked as Kai’s eyes widened. “WHAT! No! I am not doing that! Do I look like a girl to you?!” Kai rambled. “Noona calm down.” Minwoo frowned.

“NOONA?! NOW I’M OLD AND A WOMAN!” Kai yelled flailing his hands up in the air

“I didn’t call you old-“

“Yes you did!”

“I didn’t mean like an old lady! You are two years older than me though but you know…unless…you want to be an old lady…?” Minwoo smirked.

“AISH! Be quiet!” Minwoo huffed.

Yessica and I giggled at the conversation in front of us. “Okay okay guys! Let’s do this!”
Everyone then split up. It was Me as the goalie and Mi Cha versed Minwoo while Yessica was goalie as well. The was placed in the middle of the field and Mi Cha went after the ball. "GO GO
GO!" I screamed.

I watched as the ball was hit from player to player. Both Minwoo and Mi Cha playing nice and hard. Suddenly the ball came towards me and I stood spreading my legs somewhat apart and ready to catch.

"HIT IT! GOAL MINWOO GOAL!!" Yessica yelled from the other side.
Minwoo then kicked the ball hitting it passed me. I fell to the ground and hit my hand on the grass. "damn!" I yelled out. Minwoo pumped his fist in the air and went to high five Yessica.

"I call a re-match!" I yelled.

Key's POV

"I'm going out." I announced flatly and closed the apartment door behind me. No one came after me so I don't think they cared much. We were all busy anyway.

I took out my phone and read the time, it was about three o'clock. My mind went wondering on how she would look like now.

Is she short? Did she get tall? Has she eaten well? Does she have a boyfriend?

I shook my head and continued walking down the street. The day was bright and beautiful, it's not often that happens here in Seoul. The park was then ahead of me.

"Damn!" I heard a familiar voice yell. My head snapped in the general direction. The world froze, right in front of me was her.

Krista.

Her black hair was longer, about a few inches before it met her mid back. She still looked like she was the same height. I took a deep breath and gulped. I shouldn't go near. She most likely hates me...still.

"I call a re-match!" She yelled.

"YAH!" I yelled as I tripped over my own foot, catching myself before I got the ground. I looked back up and saw her staring at me. I froze as our eyes caught each others. Her expression was un-readable. I picked up my hat from the ground covering my dyed blonde hair and dusted myself off. Stupid curb.

Krista's POV

"YAH!" A familiar yell was heard. I turned into that direction. I blinked twice and froze.

Key was on the ground, his eyes connecting with mine. "Krista?" Kai spoke next to me. I blocked him out and looked over at him. His now fashion look and blonde hair made him look so much more different.

"K...Kibum..."

“Is that Key?!” Mi Cha asked in dis-belief. I nodded without a word. I looked over at her and then back. But when I wanted my eyes to find Key, he was nowhere in sight.

“Come on Krista lets go get something to eat.” Kai grabbed my arm and drug me away as I still searched for Key’s idol- like look. But I couldn’t find him.

“Okay…” I spoke a little too late, still being dragged by Kai.
