The War Between Worlds
Preface
First and foremost, I want to thank Bumkeyk Graphics Shop for my beautiful poster. I love it!
One thousand years ago, there was an arranged marriage between two worlds: Zybria’s High Princess and the High Prince of the Fae Realm. They were married for many years, giving the countries many ties and two young Princes and one young Princess. The Fae Realm and Zybria helped one another through many wars and there was great trust between King Coel of the Fae Realm and King Ghensten of Zybria…Until one terrible day.
High Prince Hwendol was very nice to everyone and highly loved and respected. He had done many good deeds for both Zybria and the Fae Realm. He was born of both worlds, after all, so it was his duty.
Prince Jael and Princess Hana were twins, and the younger siblings. One day, Hana saw a man who was very kind to her, and she fell in love. However, he was not of noble blood, so they had to keep their affair a secret. One day her twin Jael saw them together and he was furious. He flew into a rage, killing both his sister and her lover. He left them there, along with a suicide note stating how they wanted to be together, and could not take the pain of hiding their relationship. Death together was better than a life of torture.
King Ghensten was very distraught about losing his granddaughter in such a disgraceful manner, so he did not even claim her body. On the other hand, King Coel was upset over losing a granddaughter. This caused a rift between the two worlds, and they split. King Ghensten did not want anything to do with their line, so he ordered the remaining children to be put to death. Before Prince Hwendol died, he made certain that his brother, who had started the entire mess, escaped. He went into hiding for many years, but when the Zybrian king died, Prince Jael returned and claimed the throne.
As soon as he was crowned, King Jael passed a law against anyone with powers that were Fae. If someone used powers, they were screened, and if they were not Zybrian powers, they were put to death. Thus the rule stood, and passed from generation to generation.
The king of recent times unleashed a beast in the Fae Realm, unknown to King Coel. This beast remains to this day, to strike terror and kill Fae.
One day, a couple tried to escape Zybria, and they succeeded. However, the king had contacts on earth, and the couple was put to death. The king made a mistake, though: a child had survived…
