Another confusing week has passed. As I wait for Kris’s return, my friendship with Tao seems didn't change. Every time we talk, he still opens the topic of courting me which I divert by making jokes. The most awaited day has come. Kris was back however it’s like he was changed or something. His face became so serious and he doesn't communicate with others that much. “What’s this? Did Tao and Kris switched personalities?” I asked myself. I tried to talk to him but I can’t. “I’ll wait for one more week.” I said. “Maybe that time, he will be normal.”
So a week passed.
“How was your trip to the U.S. Kris?” “Did anything happen?” “You seem so troubled since the day you came back” These were the things I messaged him but I got no replies.
Our door bell rang. I heard a voice saying “Good evening Mrs._______ is ______ there?”
Footsteps hurried towards my room. “_______, Kris is looking for you. He is waiting outside” My mom told me with a smile.
So I went out.
“Ya! Chingu! How are you? Why didn’t you message me back?” I talked to him like nothing happened.
Kris: “I’m still fine you see.” He said having a smirk on his face.
He hugged me saying “I missed you too. I’m sorry for not saying goodbye.”
I was so speechless again and my eyes were teary.
“Let’s go to the coffee shop” He held my hand like never before.

“I will be honest with you now. We’ve been friends for more than two years already and I think I should tell you this.” “The reason I went to the U.S. was because I was looking for my family. Unfortunately, I didn't see them The persons whom I grew up with weren't my parents...”
I didn't know what to say. I just sat there quietly listening to his story. I want to tell him about Tao but decided not to.
Tao: “____ can we meet up today?”
I hesitated to because I was with Kris that time but I still replied back.
__: “Okay I will message you later.”

__: ” Tao, where are now? Let’s meet up already.”
Tao: “Can you meet me at ______ balcony?” “I’ll be waiting for you there.”
__: “I’m going now, see you there.”

While walking up to where we would meet, I heard some guys singing. It was Tao’s friends D.O. and Baekhyun singing open arms. The place was full of flowers and a table for two. Suddenly someone held me from behind, covering my eyes. I knew it was Tao.
Tao: “I’m glad you’re here”
Getting something from his pocket, he told me “I want to be your man, not only for now but forever”
My heart stopped seeing a ring on his hand. “Will you be my lady?” Tao asked me.
I did not make a sound. I just stayed quiet as he place that ring to my fingers. “Why don’t I stop him? Did I learn to like him that I’m letting him do it?” I asked in my mind.
We sat and talked. “I am happy you accepted me. Not only as your friend, but also your man”
I just smiled and nodded. A name came across my mind, Kris. Out of nowhere I told Tao “I have to go now, I need to talk to someone”
I hurried towards the stairs. I cannot think straight anymore. As I cross the street I didn't realize a truck was going to hit me. Someone pushed me.
“What’s this? What happened to me?” I asked to my mom who was beside the hospital bed that time.
“Kris is in a coma trying to save you from that truck.” He was unconscious after the accident.
“What room is he in now?” I asked my mom crying.
I rushed towards the door. Tao was outside and he followed me where I went. I asked for Kris’s room to the doctor who was standing at the nurse’s station.
“I’m Dr. Kim, this is my student assistant Mr.Oh, we’re your friend’s doctors on duty.”
“I am sorry to say that he is still unconscious until now and he needs blood for his operation because he lost a lot during the incident.”
“We have to obtain a type B blood to start the procedure immediately”
“I’m type B” says Tao who was with me that time.
The procedure ended. Kris’s operation was successful but still he is unconscious.
I asked Tao if he could come with me to the hospital to pay Kris a visit. We were sitting outside the room when suddenly a guy approached us saying “he is lucky to have a brother like you” looking at Tao.
We were confused and Tao pointed at himself. We were the only person at the hallway that time so I’m sure that he was talking to us.
“I was the guy who took your blood for him remember?”
“Oh yes I remember, but we are not related to one another” Answered Tao.
“The results show you’re brothers. Are you sure you’re not?” replied the guy as he left us.
“This can’t be” “Is it possible he’s my long lost brother?” Tao asked me.
“What’s happening now? Are they really brothers?” was the questions playing in my thoughts.
“If he has it, he’s really my brother” said Tao as he entered Kris’s room. He pulled down Kris’s gown exposing his neck. Tao started crying as he held Kris’s hand. I started crying too as I walked towards them. Tao hugged me tightly saying “thank God I found you”
He called his parents telling them about Kris.
Tao’s parents arrived two days later. He introduced me to them saying I too was Kris’s friend. I told them that it was because of me their son is unconscious now.
“Miss, it’s alright. Have no worries, Kris will wake up soon. We must really thank you that we found our long lost son” Tao’s mother said to me as she hugged me.
“What’s happening here?” a voice came from the room. It was Kris! Who regained consciousness.
We all went to the room and told him everything. Happiness poured down as they reunite.
“Now it’s me, what will I do now?” “I can’t love any of them, they’re brothers” I said to myself as I walked out of the room. I went down to the park outside the hospital to find myself some answers.
I sat there and thought of the things I must do. “I must return this ring to Tao, I cannot accept this”
“Are you okay miss?” asked one guy.
“Yes I am, aren't you Dr. Kim’s assistant?” I replied back.
“Yeah, glad you remembered. I’m Sehun. I am a medical student and helped in treating your friend” he said.
__: “I appreciate it…”
I told him of what happened just then.
“They were lucky to have known you, I must go now. Nice meeting you” was the last words he say as he left me.

I arranged a meeting with Tao and Kris at the coffee shop. I told them everything and returned Tao’s ring.
“I hope we will be friends until the end. I am happy for both of you. It must be difficult to live your lives looking for each other”
Tears fell down from our eyes.
