Kai's Cinderella

Your POV Tao, Kris, and Chanyeol are keeping my secret, but they spend as much of their free time with me.
They pushed away their 10 other friends to make sure that I don’t get hurt in school because I was alone. To my bad luck, my leg is in a cast its nothing serious a simple airline fracture and the cast should be off in a week. They tell me that you should try to keep it on longer so that your stepsisters can’t beat you so you agree to do so. The doctors had eyed you worried since this isn’t your first visit in the hospital in the last few months but none were this bad even if it’s just an airline fracture. Kris and Chanyeol keep saying it’ll be a good thing when my stepmother and stepsisters find out. Tao though has been talking to me more finding out more about my father and me in the whole.
I’m at school waiting for the day to end. Only the bell for lunch goes off breaking me from my thoughts. My three friends come running up to me collecting me so we can walk to the cafeteria together.
Kris is the one getting my food today because yesterday Tao got my food.
“Kris, I can,” he shuts up by pointing at my crutches before I can finish what I said.
I sigh and follow them to the check outline and to the table I’ve taken residence in, but on the way there I trip and fall. Before I can hit the ground I feel arms wrap around my waist. Looking back Tao smiles at me as he sets me down in my seat and picks up my crutches setting them next to me.
I ignore the laughter but my friends glare at the only table that is really laughing and my step sisters are sitting on the edge of the table close to where I tripped.
“Oh you should be more careful Cinderella,” one of the sisters I don’t care which once since they are two of the same had said.
“If she’s Cinderella then you 2 are the ugly stepsisters,” Kris says to them.
“What?!” the same sister shouted.
“Well you 2 are her stepsisters so you’re the 2 ugly stepsisters.”
They glare at them and the smarter of the 2 speaks up, “Which 1 of you is her prince?”
They laugh, “Only she can decide who her prince is.”
I smile over at them, “Come on guys let’s eat already. Kris give me my food, please,” I do my best aegyo.
They laugh and Kris sets my food down in front of me. Right away I dig into my food. They follow my lead and start to eat their lunches. When they finish Chanyeol dumps my tray.
When he comes back, he and Tao helps me up even with me complaining that I do not need any help.
They help me into the classroom, they sit by me, but Kris had to leave when the warning bell went off.
When Kai and Taemin come into the class and sit in front of me. I want to hide in a deep dark hole.
Almost as if he could tell how I was, feeling Tao gives me a look that says that I need to stay calm.
I give Tao a look that said I‘ll try.
Kai and Taemin look back at me and I hid behind a book. I’m glad that the teacher decided to come into the room and call everyone’s attention.
He taught the lesson but I don’t pay attention instead I draw pictures of what seemed to come from my favorite fairy tale since I was a child, Cinderella. Still I look around and see that the dumbest sister is in my class. I ignore her glares and keep drawing. It’s not like she has much of a brain to guess what I’m doing. Still she glares at me the whole class period.
When class ends, Tao hands me his notes and tells me to copy them.
I nod my head as I take the notebook and place it in my bag, “Thank you, Tao.”
He nods his head and smiles sweetly at me as he walks away.
The rest of the classes go by fast.
When the day ends Kris and Tao drive in Tao’s car and like always give me a ride to and from school. Kris sits in back with my crutches. He’s listening to some song in Chinese, I laugh as Tao and I join in singing along to the lyrics. When it ends, the 3 of us are laughing and turn another song on and I start singing to it.
Kris’s house is the 1st since he has to get home for work.
As he gets out of the car, he calls out, “Tao make sure to that you don’t fall for her or a certain friend that isn’t talking to us will kill you.”
Tao flushes but frowns at the same time confusing me, but the look was so cute on him I want to lean over and pinch his cheeks.
When we reach my house Tao drives up to the door and I see my father waiting for me his 1st time being home in a few months. When I see my father, I try to jump out of the car but Tao pulls back and gives me a look. I sigh and reach back for your crutches, but Tao moves around the car fast enough to grab them and help me out of the car.
My father sees me and smiles, but frowns when he finally notices that the person that drove me home was a boy who was holding me up well carrying my crutches on his other side.
“Daddy this is my friend Tao, Tao this is my father.”
Tao smiled up at my father and sticks out his hand, “It’s nice to meet you sir.”
