Last Chance

Park Chanyeol is straight. At least...he’s was pretty sure about this fact, until he met Byun Baekhyun in his freshman year of high school.

Byun Baekhyun, the boy who makes Chanyeol’s day brighten, the boy who makes Chanyeol laugh like crazy, and the boy who makes Chanyeol’s stomach turn somersaults when he sees him. That Byun Baekhyun. Yeah..the only thing that’s straight about Chanyeol when it comes to Byun Baekhyun is probably his hardening friend downstairs.

And unfortunately for Chanyeol, it’s Byun Baekhyun, the boy who currently holds the title of “Biggest Playboy in the School.” Not to mention that Baekhyun is pretty much his best friend. And straighter than a ruler. But aside from that, they’re definitely soul mates. Chanyeol’s sure of that much. He’ll just have to wait for a little while longer.

If he’s totally honest, Chanyeol doesn’t even know if Baekhyun is aware that his best friend is gay. It’s not like Chanyeol’s come out of the closet, but Baekhyun has made a lot of homosexual jokes around him. It’s true that Chanyeol has played the field, messing around with his fair share of girls, so it would make a lot of sense that Baekhyun would assume he’s straight. And Baekhyun has fooled around with so many girls that Chanyeol’s lost count. It pains him to see how incredibly smooth Baekhyun is with the ladies; every hug twists his gut and every kiss is a stab in back. Despite this, he (somehow) puts up with Baekhyun’s many flirtationships and flings all throughout his freshman and sophomore year, pasting on the face of a happy-go-lucky best friend, even though he’s screaming on the inside.

Finally he decides to change that his junior year. It’s Baekhyun’s senior year at school, since he’s an early ‘92 liner, and Chanyeol’s last chance to capture Baekhyun’s heart before Baekhyun leaves for university. Chanyeol plans to make his last year with Baekhyun count.
